When recruiters identify qualified candidates, they can set
up iViewXpress video interviews. The result of the video interview will
be stored as
an online video profile. Each video profile contains a candidates
unrehearsed answers to specific questions designed by the hiring
organization.
After the recruiting strategy has been established and several
potential candidates are selected, recruiters and hiring managers can
design
specific questions that they want these candidates to answer. Candidates
will
not know the questions before they start the video interview. The
recruiter
will enter the questions and send out the invitation to the candidates.
Candidates only need a standard web cam, a microphone, and high speed
Internet
to connect to our system to conduct their video interview. Once a
candidate
finishes recording his or her answers via the iViewXpress live video
interview platform,
hiring managers, recruiters, and peers can all be invited to see the
interview
videos online anytime, anywhere.
No. Like an actual
face-to-face interview, the question will be asked once we start
recording, therefore as a candidate you will not be able to know or
prepare the answers ahead of time. Simply be yourself and give the best
answers when you are asked.
iViewXpress will provide
candidates with an additional opportunity to present themselves through
video CV on our partner websites. Video CV is a small video clip where candidates can express
their skills and capabilities. A candidate can either record a video CV
from a webcam, or upload a pre-planned video to our system.
Why should we
use video interview instead of phone interview?
Video interview is a better tool than phone interview for
the first run screening because it frees up more time and money spent.
Using video interviews will make your recruiting routine
much more scalable without being constrained by an interviewer and/or
interviewee's availability. Our research shows that in some extreme
cases, a job candidate can ask another person to answer the phone
interview without being caught. This especially happens in the initial
qualification run of phone screening and we believe that video
interviews can show you the candidate's real skills better than a phone
interview. Moreover, the video interview is easier to share among hiring
teams for objective evaluation, while phone calls are subject to one
person's feedback. Because your candidates will answer questions on an

Is there a recurring plan (monthly
membership) for iViewXpress?
Yes, iViewXpress offers monthly recruiting
plans for
recruiting professionals or organizations engaged in regular hiring
activities.
Our recurring plan gives you flexibility to distribute recruiting
budgets over
the year. Depending on the membership plan, every month you will receive
new
video interview credits, and any unused credits from last month will be
rolled
over to this month so you can continue using them. (The roll over video
interview credits only expire after 12 months.)
Yes, when you make the payment, you will get a payment
receipt from Google Checkout our online payment processing vendor. This
receipt
contains your purchase information with iViewXpress, Inc. and the unique
order
number, therefore you can print it out as an invoice and get
reimbursement from
your company for expense purposes. You can also review your order
history on
your account page.
What is the difference among a
Pay-as-You-Go bulk package, monthly pricing, and annual pricing for
iViewXpress?
iViewXpress lets you choose the most suitable plan for
your organization. If you want to purchase video interview credits based
on
your current openings, you can join as a Silver Plan Member. Being a
Silver
Plan Member you can enjoy the our Pay-as-You-Go bulk package, buying
from only 1
credit to as many as 500 credits at once. Our Pay-as-You-Go plan offers
you as low as
$19.99 per video interview.
If your organization has regular hiring activities and wants
to budget your recruiting expenses on a monthly basis, then you can
choose
a monthly subscription.
For organizations wanting to acquire a maximum number of video
credits to use it flexibly, our annual subscription plan lets you
receive
all the credits at once, then you can use them throughout the year.
Can I control how many people record a
candidate interview to control your video profile budget?
Yes, you can have full control of your video interview
budget. There are 2 approaches you can choose. The first method is you
can
decide how many candidates you want to invite and set up a "by
invitation only" video profile. Because you only invite a specific
number of candidates for video interviews and other candidates will not
be able to see the video interview link. You have full control in this
case on how many video interview credits you will need. The second
approach is to keep a finite amount of video credits that you budgeted
in your account. For example, even when you have 3 public job video
interview links active at the same time, you can maintain only 40
credits in your account. Once you collected 40 video interviews, you can
review the candidates and decide if you need to add more video credits
to your account to activate the link again.
How long will video profile be stored
after a candidate responds?
Each video will be stored for 6 months, to ensure that your
hiring team can review these candidates' performance after a hiring
decision. If
for some reason you need to replace a current hire, you can go back and
review
the next qualified candidate. Another benefit with a 6 month storage is
that
your team would be able to compare a candidate's interview performance
vs.
actual work performance and gain the experience on selecting a super
star for
your next hire. (If you would like to store the video profile for more
than six
months, please contact us.
There is no set time limit if your video interview
profile is still active but in some cases the candidate interview link
will become expired. For example, when you have an active "by invitation
only" video profile, and you remove a candidate from the invitee list
after this candidate's invitation was sent, even though the candidate
originally received your link via email, the link will be expired. You
can also close the profile if you find the best hire, and the related
video interview links will be expired.
Is there spam protection for interview
recordings?
We have enabled protection mechanisms on our video
interview recorder therefore it is unlikely that you will encounter a
video
spam situation. However, if you find out that there is a spam behavior,
we will
return you the credits back and try to find out the source of spam so
that it
will not happen to our clients again.
Our system verifies every recruiter and reviewer's email
address, therefore each recorded video profile is only authorized to be
seen by
the recruiter who created this video interview, or the reviewers who are
assigned to see the recorded video interview.
How many times can a recruiter and
assigned reviewers review a specific video interview?
You and your assigned reviewers can review any video
interviews as many times as you need to, there will be no additional
charge for
reviewing videos from multiple reviewers.
On average, how much does using
iViewXpress cost for each hire?
You can
review more candidates for less, and also become more effective. On
average, it will cost you as little as $100 to screen 10 candidates
(corporate
plan) for one job opening. And you will save at least $1,000 in time and
money spent on phone calls. For example, if you and your hiring team
need to
make 45 minutes of screening phone calls for 6 candidates on average, it
will cost
you 4.5 hours, roughly $900 in hidden costs with employee's time spent.
And often times you will not have time
to screen 10 candidates because of scheduling difficulties. In this case
each
candidate's screening costs $150. Using iViewXpress, for $100 you can
pre-screen 10 candidates, and for each candidate you only need to spend
15 minutes
to see the video interview (from anytime, anywhere!!). You will only
spend 2.5
hours of time and eventually

Will iViewXpress sell any of the
information it collects?
Absolute not. iViewXpress respects everyone's privacy and we will
not sell any of the information it collects. Recruiters and hiring
organizations
are authorized to view a candidate's video interview when the candidate
agrees
and voluntarily applies for an open position. All the videos are stored
in
iViewXpress' database and any hiring organization can not "purchase"
these videos and restore it for any other purpose. Therefore our
candidates' privacy is well protected and the data will not be
transferred to other companies without a candidate's consent. We only
offer video interviews and other related recruiting services when both
hiring organizations and candidates have consented to sharing their
information with each other. All the login information, video and data
are stored in a secure environment.
How do I set up an video interview
profile? (How-to for recruiter/hiring manager)
Setting up an online video interview is really simple. First you
will register an iViewXpress account. After you login, choose "Create a
Job Profile" from the menu, and you can start to follow the instruction
step by step.
Step 1: Enter Job Profile Information - you will enter basic
information about the position you are hiring for. This information will
be seen by candidates.
Step 2: Enter/select Video Interview Questions - you can use
questions from our question bank, or enter your own questions. Decide a
time limit for each question.
Step 3: Customize a Video Interview Web page - you can upload a logo
and change fonts and colors so that candidate sees your corporate image
during the interview.
Step 4: Invite candidates or paste the link to your job post - you
can then invite candidates for private video interview, or paste the
published link by your current job post.
Step 5: Review interviews - now you can sit back and relax. When
there is new incoming interview recorded, you will get an email
notification.
Using iViewXpress to do a video interview is very simple.
iViewXpress also provides candidates with a "Video Interview Practice," and candidates can try out sample video
interviews before they conduct the real one. Practice makes perfect!
Can a candidate (interviewee/respondent)
record an evaluation without a web cam?
Yes, a candidate can choose to record only voice instead of full
video without
using a web cam. Obviously, a working microphone is a must. But because
the job
market is very competitive, we would encourage candidates to prepare a
web cam
and treat the video interview as a actual in person interview. A video
interview lets your potential employer know your confidence &
communication
skills are top notch.
My web cam's quality isn't too great.
Should I go buy a new one?
Your web cam doesn't have to be spectacular and we do not require
extremely high quality resolution. If you're web cam was just
accidentally put in the washing machine - buy a new one. But really
don't go too crazy in your web cam search. Visit Amazon.com to find a webcam is quite simple.
Our systems run backups daily and are built on a large computing
cloud.
Therefore we will have backups of candidate videos on iViewXpress. But
once the
candidate's video expire after six months, our system will remove them
permanently unless the recruiter requests to store this video longer.
No. To protect candidates' privacy and employer's interview question
confidentiality, all the videos can only be viewed from the iViewXpress
player
online.
Can I bulk import interview questions or
emails to send out interview links to?
Yes. iViewXpress provides bulk import functions for
interview questions and candidate emails. Detailed instructions on how
to
import data are described in the "Question Bank" and "Candidate
Database" on the left menu once you log in to the system as a recruiter.
What is the difference between
iViewXpress and iViewXpress Enterprise?
iViewXpress is a light weight add-on to modern
e-recruiting systems. iViewXpress provides every recruiter and hiring
organization with the most easy, effective, and cost-efficient video
interview
services. iViewXpress Enterprise, our full featured e-recruiting
platform, instead
will provide end-to-end e-recruiting services, where recruiters can
combine
questionnaire formats for skill set evaluation, video interview, and on
site
interview scheduling features. iViewXpress Enterprise

Can I test the video interview process
before candidates see it?
Yes, you can test the video interview process before you
enable the public link feature or before you send out any invitation to
candidates so that no one will see it during testing. We would encourage
you to

How much time does a candidate have to
complete an video interview?
Just like a real world interview, it depends on the question asked.
When a
recruiter configures each video interview question, the recruiter can
determine
2 parameters. The first parameter is N seconds of "Preparation Time" for
a
candidate to prepare the answer after seeing the question. The second
parameter
is Y minutes of "Answer Time Limit" for a candidate to complete the
answer.
During the video interview, if the answer time limit is reached, the
system
will proceed to the next question. For example, if a full video
interview
contains 2 questions, Question 1 is 3 minutes with 30 seconds
preparation time,
and Question 2 is 5 minutes with 1 minute preparation time, then the
whole
interview will take about 3+0.5+5+1= 9.5 minutes.
How will I be notified when a candidate
finishes a video interview?
Every time a candidate finishes a video interview you will
receive an email notification. Then you can click the link to see the
incoming
video interviews, and assign more reviewers to score and comment on the
candidate's performance.
Can I tell from where a candidate clicked
the interview link?
Currently you will see the candidate's personal information and be
able to know where he/she is from. In our next version we will include
advanced reporting features about the click through of the video
interview links.
iViewXpress apply's SSL standards for user authentication and secure
payment. We are committed to making continuous efforts to ensure our
system is secure for our users.
What are the system requirements for a
candidate (interviewee)?
No software download is required, the
candidate only needs to meet the
following requirements.
1. A computer connected to high speed Internet (can view high
quality streaming video from Internet).
2. A working web cam that can record video.
3. An Internet Browser with Flash Player version 9 or 10 installed.
(All major browsers supported)
4. A microphone that can record voice clearly.
5. Candidates should test their system prior to the first question,
so if there are any unexpected errors, they can cancel the video
interview and email a request to conduct the interview again.
We also would like to remind candidates to dress formally as if in a
real in-person interview. And find a clean background with sufficient
lighting for the best recording effect. Cell phones, Skype, IMs, Twitter
alerts, etc. should be muted or turned off. Put a sign on your door
that reads 'do not disturb' and inform your neighbors you can not be
bothered.
Will my personal
information, including my video interviews be strictly protected?
YES, absolutely. We have a strong commitment to protect our
customers' privacy. Our system is designed to ensure the security of
candidates videos. No one from hiring organizations can download your
video answers, and at anytime you can request to remove the video. We
will notify the hiring organization and remove the video. Please note
that the hiring organization has to agree that your video answers will
only be used under the following conditions: (1) To assess your
potential as a job candidate (2) To analyze your skills and styles to
help improve their recruiting practice. Only the hiring organizations
specific recruiters and hiring team can access your videos.
First of all, prepare a good setting and dress professionally.
Second, maintain good eye contact to the web cam. Remember to talk as if
the webcam is the interviewer. Keep a positive attitude, even when
answering a difficult question. The interviewer cares not only about
your skills, but also about your attitude. For more details, have a look

You can use any
standard webcam that has more than 2M pixel resolution. You can ask your
friend or family member who has experience with using webcam to help
you out.
iViewXpress provides the safest privacy options for candidates, and
employers are risk free on any Equal Employment Opportunity
requirements. A
candidate can choose the "Voice Only" option while answering all
interview
questions, so that personal privacy is fully protected. Further,
candidates
must consent to conducting a video or voice-only interview.
Yes, iViewXpress Video Interview supports Mac and Linux computers,
as long
as the candidate has an Internet Browser with a Flash Player installed,
along
with a functioning web cam and microphone. We also supply each candidate
and
recruiter with an iViewXpress technical support email,
support@iviewxpress.com, in case a
technical problem disrupts the interview process. The candidate and
recruiter
should have this email stored in a non-internet location in his/her
preparation
for the interview.
What happens if a video interview is
disrupted during the recording, can the candidate do it again?
Once a candidate starts answering the first video interview question,
the
system will consider the interview is fulfilled. This is to ensure the
fairness
and integrity of the video interview. Therefore we urge candidates to
prepare
ahead of time and once started do NOT stop, unless a serious disruption
happens. If an interview process is unfortunately disrupted due to
technical
problems or an uncontrollable situation, we will restore the credit back
to the
recruiter and activate the candidate's video interview link again.
Should this
happen, please email to support@iviewxpress.com. NOTE: If a candidate
has an
unusual or lengthy record of 'technical problems' we will notify the
recruiter
of suspicious activity and this may reflect poorly on a candidate's
record.
